- Do I need to become a DFC Member if I want to volunteer at Health Camps?
No. Non-members can volunteer for our Health camps. But as a Non-member, you cannot become a Health Camp Head. Volunteer with us now! - What do I have to do to become a DFC Member?
You simply have to fill up the Membership Form and pay a nominal Membership Fee.

- What is a Health Camp Head?
Our on-ground eyes and ears for every Health Camp is known as a Health Camp Head. This person is a DFC member, and is responsible for coordinating offline with the organization we partner with, rally the Health Camp volunteers, and carry out instructions leading to a smooth execution of a DFC Health Camp.

- How will I know what to do as a Health Camp Head?
Don’t worry –we’ve got you covered. You will be assigned to a Health Camp Coordinator from our online team who is specially trained in helping you conduct DFC Health Camps. You will receive your training and step-by-step instructions to carry out the camp effectively from your Health Camp Coordinator.
- I don’t want to become a member, but I wish to donate to DFC –how can I?
We are happy and open to receiving donations from the community! Donating to DFC will etch you permanently in DFC’s mythos, and you will be helping us not only sustain our camps and events, but also grow our organization by branching out to all sorts of demographics and communities we could not previously reach. - Where does the money from the Membership Fee and Donations go?
The money that we collect goes into making our camps self-sustaining. Ways in which we spend this money during camps include: printing banners, posters, and prescription pads, organizing transport for our volunteers where required, providing refreshments to volunteers and beneficiaries when possible, buying camp equipment and medicines when needed, managing basic camp amenities like chairs, table, when needed, providing basic remuneration to core contributors when possible and necessary.
By becoming a member, you automatically start supporting our work through your membership fee.
- How do I get a letter of recommendation from DFC?
You are eligible to receive an LoR from DFC under two circumstances:
A. If you have been a part of the Executive Board of Directors or DFC Core Team satisfactorily for a period of TWO terms.
B. If you have been a Health Camp Head for a combined total of FOUR camps
- I have become a DFC Member –now what?
Within 3-5 days you will receive a welcome email from DFC with your membership confirmation, and you will be added to the DFC Whatsapp community where you will be alerted about volunteering opportunities and other DFC events you can be a part of. You will also be alerted of any Core Team/Executive Board recruitment processes if you are interested in taking your involvement with DFC one step further.
