Explore our Health Camps

Health Camps are the heart of what we do at DFC. DFC has conducted 120+ Health Camps all over India with the help of doctors, medical students, and non-medical peers.

DFC recognises that while other NGOs may be better funded, DFC is uniquely placed in the way we directly provide healthcare services. For us, procuring a doctor means either turning up ourselves or requesting an intern, resident, or professor at our college, or one of our numerous  contemporaries (sometimes even an elder brother, sister or parent) to spare a day for a good cause. The hospitals we work at have a plentiful stock of free medication provided by pharmaceutical representatives which we can request access to for our camps. Finally, further follow-up and referrals could directly happen at our hospitals, where, in cases requiring urgent care, we could request the Medical Superintendent to waive off charges for an investigation or test.

As a result of our direct involvement in healthcare, we have been able to successfully carry out our mission which focuses on directly connecting with people from underserved communities and implementing change on ground. We conduct Health Camps in several cities and rural areas across India, aiming to bridge the healthcare gap by organizing educational programs, promoting safe health practices, and building social responsibility.
